2026 coaching roster in progress: Additional coaches and team assignments may be added as information is confirmed.

Shawn has seven years of head-coaching experience, including three years with the Junior Bulldogs.
“I coach to give back to the kids and pass along the knowledge I received from my own coaches. The best part is seeing players succeed—the excitement on their faces when they understand what they were taught, execute it, and realize they can do it.”
“I hope the organization continues to grow stronger and welcome more athletes while preparing fundamentally sound players for the high school level, where they can continue to enjoy the game.”

Chris is in his third year coaching with the Junior Bulldogs.
“Football is about more than the game. It teaches hard work, discipline, accountability, teamwork, and how to overcome adversity. I want our players to become better athletes, great teammates, and even better young men—and have a lot of fun along the way.”

Paul is in his second year coaching with the Junior Bulldogs. He played college football at William Penn University, where he was a two-time captain and two-time Mid-States Football Association all-conference selection. He played alongside Alan Barbre, Damion Harrison, and Justin Reynolds, and played for John Ware during Ware’s final season.
Paul played left tackle, left guard, right guard, right tackle, and tight end in college. He started 30 games at left tackle, two at right guard, and one at right tackle.
“I coach to build the next generation and help shape our boys’ futures. I want to help make FZS the program to beat in St. Louis.”

Samantha has approximately 10 years of cheer coaching experience.
Samantha is a second-grade teacher at Progress South Elementary and serves as Communications Director for the Junior Bulldogs. She and her husband, Stephen, have six children, five of whom have participated in the Junior Bulldogs program. The organization has been a special part of their family for many years.
“I love helping young athletes build confidence, learn teamwork, and discover what they are capable of accomplishing. I hope every athlete leaves the program feeling valued, supported, and proud of their growth. The Junior Bulldogs organization means so much to my family, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a program that has positively influenced so many young athletes.”

Jordan has coached with the Junior Bulldogs for four years. She began as a junior coach and has continued to grow as a coach and mentor.
Jordan cheered with the Fort Zumwalt South Cheer Program from eighth grade through high school, giving her a strong foundation and a lasting love for the sport.
“It is rewarding to watch the kids grow, gain confidence, support one another, and accomplish things they may not have thought they could do. Being part of the Junior Bulldogs gives me the opportunity to give back to a program that means so much to me and help create positive experiences and memories for the kids.”

Grace began cheering with the Junior Bulldogs in sixth grade and continued throughout high school before moving into All-Star cheer. She later returned to the Junior Bulldogs as a junior coach and became an official coach after graduating from high school. She has been coaching for approximately six years and now coaches all Junior Bulldogs squads.
Grace is 23 and studies zoology online through Oregon State University. She will graduate this year with her bachelor’s degree and hopes to work at the Saint Louis Zoo. A lifelong animal lover, she spends much of her free time with her dog, Odin.
“I love cheer and enjoy teaching the girls everything I have learned over the years. Watching them grow and building relationships with them are some of my favorite parts of coaching. I was once a Junior Bulldog myself, so coming back as a coach is especially meaningful. I hope the girls grow as athletes while also making friendships, memories, and having the same fun experience I had.”

Allyssa has coached with the Junior Bulldogs for four years. Before joining the program, she served as an assistant varsity cheer coach for three years.
Allyssa is a second-grade teacher at PSE. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and loves to read.
“Cheer is so much more than just a sport. It is about building confidence both on and off the field, creating meaningful connections, giving athletes a space to shine, and helping them grow into strong, confident leaders. Watching athletes believe in themselves and grow along the way is the most rewarding part.”

Candice previously coached middle school cheer for three years and is beginning her first year with the Junior Bulldogs. She cheered from first grade through her freshman year of college. Outside of cheer, she is a mom of three and a school social worker.
“I love watching kids grow in confidence, build their skills, learn to work as a team, and have fun doing something they love. I’m excited to be part of the Junior Bulldogs family and help create positive memories and experiences for our cheerleaders!”

Madisyn has coached with the Junior Bulldogs for two years and loves being part of the cheer family. She is also a paraprofessional at Progress South Elementary, where she works with and supports children every day.
Cheer has long been a big part of Madisyn’s life, and she enjoys sharing her passion for the sport with the next generation. She comes from a big family with five sisters, one of whom is also a coach.
“I love seeing the excitement on the girls’ faces when they learn or hit something new. Coaching is about more than cheer skills: I want to help my athletes build confidence, teamwork, determination, and life skills they can take wherever they go. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned and watching them grow as athletes and people.”
Want to get involved? Anyone interested in coaching football or cheer, or serving on the Junior Bulldogs Board, is invited to email juniorbulldogsfootball@gmail.com. For privacy, coaches’ personal contact details are not published.

Ryan is in his fifth year coaching with the Junior Bulldogs. He is devoted to helping kids learn football, grow in character on and off the field, and discover what they can accomplish. Watching players develop into respectful young adults is what first made him fall in love with coaching, and working with them remains one of his greatest blessings.
Andrew has served as an assistant coach for four years and as a Junior Bulldogs board member for two years. He coaches to help players learn both football and life lessons. Teaching the kids to work as a team and family, and watching each of them grow, is his biggest reward.
Dave is in his second year as a Junior Bulldogs assistant coach. His love for the kids and passion for football brought him to coaching. He enjoys teaching and seeing their growth from year to year, and values the teamwork and life skills that football can help build.
